Kim has trained under such current and former Olympians as George Morris, Nona Garson, Anne Kursinski and Stephen Bradley. Ms. Shaw is an accomplished equestrian and began her teaching career in 1976. Shaw personally instructs beginner through advanced riding students in Hunt Seat Equitation and Jumping. Gladstone offers only private lessons at Manakin Sabot Equestrian Center. Private lessons are for one person and consist of 45 minutes riding time. Video analysis is also available for an additional fee. Call 804-784-0931 or Email Kim today to

Coaching – Riding students who attend horse shows may elect to receive coaching assistance from Ms. Shaw. Coaching services include oversight and strategy during pre-show warm-up on the flat and schooling (practice) over fences.

Kim provides feedback to riders during their class when show rules allow, and there’s always a full review of the student’s performance after the class. Video analysis is also available for an additional charge.

Whether it is guiding the young rookie through their first show ring outing, or coaching a talented young rider on the "A" Circuit, Kim focuses on the true "fun" aspect of showing.
